Looks like I have a nudibranch in my refugium. No idea where he came from. Should I remove him? He is plain black with what looks like a bunch of feathers on his ass. Is this a toxic species?

Hi Tobes - if this nudi is in your refugium, leave it there. I don't think it can do any damage there are all. The little I know of nudi's, is that the more brightly colored the nudi is, the more toxic it is purported to be. The darker/more bland nudi's are mostly colored to blend in with their food host. (Mostly corals)....

it should be fine in your fuge as Jacques mentioned.just becarefull he doesnt find a way to one of your pumps and and get chopped up

Have a look at Dendrodoris Negra, i had one, it came in on a frag, didn't do any harm, but sadly didn't last long either.
I have a similar looking nudi in my main tank (Nano). Only seen him at night feeding on the live rock.
Although he has grown in the last week.
No idea how he got in my tank. Hitch-hiked on live rock or corals I put in?
Can anybody give me more info on them.
Good or bad?

nudibranch usually eat corals (as a general rule anyway) but they usually only eat one type - zoalanthids OR Montipora for example but never usually anything else, so unless you can notice one of your corals dissappearing rapidly, then leave it alone, they can be poisonous to pick up if you have cuts on your fingers, so be careful.

I agree with Mike: Unless you see them eating away at the corals , you should probably leave them be.
One other issues though with Nudi's is that they are sometimes not ideally suited to our tank's environment. If they die , some species will release toxins into your water which you don't want.
I've dumped both Nudi's that I found in my tank .
