To make the Rep bar names a little better, i have thought of some new names not all, if you don't like or have ideas please tell.
-999- don't know
-50-don't know
-10-don't know
0-has yet to help
10-has contributed
15-has gotten evolved a little
30-has made a effort to get involved
50-has helped others allot
75-will help when ever asked
100-is known to help allot
125-makes it their business to help
150-has great respect for their help
175-If they can they will to there best

but what about people that arent? Plus not everybody gives rep points, it sucks, i've helped out a few nubies and not so nubies on different stuff and nobody gives rep, so it would look like all us innocent posters would look criminal:biggrin:
 
newbies ae less likeley to know how the system works... besides mine was just a sarcastic suggestion.. open to second opinion.. just wanted to keep the thought process flowing;)

I think this rep bar is taken a little seriously, and while i should imagine the little red burron is irratating Ocean I always smile a little when i see you have one:) nothing nasty i often wonder what u had done. But i dont bother asking as i am not actually that concerned. Looseing a tube anenome into a seio concerns me more than who helps lots.

if it was who helps lots Warr would have millions of points.

i think MASA is a little more about reefing than it is about green dots:)

BUT, Ocean, i do think its brilliant that a younge fella like yourself likes to know how things work and what the background is into polotics and the like, lets you keep an open mind and thats a strong characteristic:)

i do like some of your suggestions though:)

No prob, it is nice to be recognized every now and then, but if that was my motivation for posting I would have 6000 less posts :whistling:
 
The computer was unusable, but im back.

So whats happening to the thread,
to be honest i dont mind have the little red dot under my name.
Can we change the the sugested or help with better.

HI, have to agree with Thalion and Cybervic! In most cases they are a closer representation of how willing you are to share your limited knowledge rather than how knowledgeable you are! That said, there are a few members(and mods) that can proudly say that every one of them was deserved and is a true representation of their knowledge and experience, here is a :peroni: to you guys!!

How about instead of members adding to each other's rep points, you report a post, using the red triangle, then allow the admin team to judge on whether or not the post deserves rep, and how much rep should be added? that will bring a certain amount of formality to the system and make it far more useful to the membership.
 
Ok folks, have added a poll to this thread. Please do vote. (I see quite a number of people have read this thread). Also note it is multiple choice if you're a little undecided.
