Soft coral with finger-like branches and large amounts of polyps. Normally beige, cream and brown in like.

Pacific, Indian Ocean, Red Sea
[edit] Requirements
[edit] Lighting
Lobophytum do not require high intensity lighting and be mounted at any level of the reef.

These corals flow requirement can vary widely. The coral will adapt to low or high flow areas.

Lobophytum do not require target feeding and will gather food particles from the tanks' water column.
[edit] Hardiness
Lobophytum is an extremely hardy coral species. Great for beginners.

Lobophytum is very compatible and not an aggressive coral

Lobophytum may be placed anywhere in aquariums with any type lighting.
[edit] Propagation
Lobophytum is an excellent species for coral propagation (fragging). Use a very sharp blade to make a clean cut of a branch (finger). The fragmented part must be attached to a suitable frag plug or live rock, for the coral to attach to. Use of elastic bands and or toothpicks is a great way to keep the frag attached for a couple of weeks.
