Hi everyone, need some advise please.
i have recently added in 2 clown fish into my tank however 1 is refusing to eat. i have taken it out of my main tank and put into my small nano however even in this he is not eating.

in the main tank he was not being bullied, in fact my existing clown fish welcomed his 2 new friends into the tank as was quite protective over them.

i have tried various foods all of which he just ignores.

he is very lethargic, he just stays in the bottom of the tank, not swimming much.

please advise what else i can do.

also what are the chances that the fish i'm buying are sick from the store, as this is the second time i have bought from a particular store and had a fish refusing to eat.

thanks in advance

I've had him for about a week and don't think he's eaten since i got him. His buddy is eating nicely though.

No marks on him and no haven't tried live food but tried frozen,2 types of pellets, spirilina tabs and seaweed.

Perhaps find out from the pet shop as to what food they were feeding him and feed him the same. Do you have different types of clownfish in your tank now or did you add the same? Different species of clowns in a tank is never a good thing unless you've got a massive tank with ample space.

Also, just bear in mind that clowns like to run around in pairs - 2's a pair, 3's a crowd-type thing.

i had the same problem with one of my pajama cardinals the smaller one wasnt eating as well as i hoped due to being bullied a little bit by the bigger one, i feed them with mysis as that is what the pet store feed them and it work both had full bellies this evening so try Mysis soaked in Entice or lobster eggs load of ppl i know get problem fish to feed with lobster eggs

Things are not looking good for nemo, hes lost all his colour. i've tried everything to get him to eat, been putting herbitina into his tank but he just seems to be getting worse.
