Urgent help needed Whats is wrong with my fish

Can anyone tell me what is wrong with my cardinal? At first it looked like something bit it on the tail, but it seems to get worse he does not look sick, and eats well. Is there any medication I can give ?

Looks with that pic as finrot, what you can do is fortify the food with vitamins and garlic

the white stuff is a secondary fungul infection of a physical injury to the fish. the fish should be quarantined and treated with an antfungal agent.
also check water quality in the main display.

i would like to know if garlic really works, i know there are a few studies with humans but fish??? where would they get garlic in the sea?

It's not the garlic per say that helps, it's the immune boosting acids that do, these acids are probably found in other sources. Like omega3 is found in salmon and in flax seed

something attacked your cardinal. And it seems that bacterial infection is setting in.

what size is the biggest hermit? Or it can possible be a unwanted crabs or mantins shrimps that you might not know of yet.

Thanks got some garlic, the cardinal eats well does not look sick I do have a lot of hermit crabs will take some of the big ones to the pet shop tommorow
