I think you need to start taking some of my body parts as payment. There is so many thing I want that you bring in.

Two units will light a 1 meter wide tank, if you are keeping sps, clams etc i would recommend three.

That's hectic. For my 1.8m tank, I'll need 6x900 units then to replace my 8x54w powermodule. My tank is also 700 deep.

Hi Zayd

Firstly you currently run 1200 lighting unit over a 1800 long tank.

If you are looking for a equivalent you will only need four units.

Please bear in mind the saving you are going to get with electricity and globe changes.

Think about not worrying about having to go and replace globes every 8 months.
For the next ten years.

Long term savings will be R10,000 over a equivalent T5 unit.

I have 200mm bracing right around the top of my tank and the area below have no sps - swimming space. So maybe 2x1500 units will be better. Can also then place on the bracing.

Do they come in 1500mm?

Hi Zayd

They only come in max 1200 long.

We have hanging brackets or tank brackets.

I would go with the 900 long units mounted side by side

Hi Butcherman

I would recommend three 900 units to run a full SPS reef.

Please come to the shop and see them running.

We are always happy to open up for any reefers wanting to demo lighting or purchase drygoods, liverock etc

What's the diference between this and the Illumina range. I see they have a 1600 model which appears to be a wider unit.

not keen on having 4 units across width of tank.

Zayd,

the Illumina is a considerably more powerful unit with all the bells and whistles that count. It has an on-board computer and is completely programmable, with Moonlight, Storm-Cloud schemes, etc. Nathan can tell you the details.
