I have a fairly old RO unit. Filters are new, but I still get tds=7. Is this going to be a problem in the long run?

We usually try to keep the TDS lower than 5. You can only establish if it is going to be a problem if you know what makes up the 7 TDS. It could be good minirals or bad stuff? Your tank should tell you in the long run if there is any problems.

Hi Chris, do you test when you just started to make RO? Flush the unit for 10min or so and let it run for 30min before testing TDS. Mine is higher in the beginning.
