Should I keep the pistol shrimp?

Found it last night moving my tank, I have a cleaner shrimp thats avoided him for 6 months (always staying on the left side of the tank). I have noticed empty crab and snailo shells over the months. Should I keep him?

Nope, unless you have a predator tank or species tank

Put him in the sump.

Sump or get a little nano species tank, they are fascinating to watch, a goby to pair up will be even better.
