RO Unit-Ratio RO to Waste

Hi,

I'm not sure if I'm knocking on the correct door but I have a D-D The Aquarium Solution RO unit and my wastage vs RO seems exceptionally high. What is the correct ratio and what would the problem seem to be?

Ro to wastage is determined by the quality of the source water and the age/condition of the membrane. Not uncommon to have a 1:2 or even 1:3 ratios of ro:wastage. Use the waste water to water pot plants or something else in the garden.

What does the waste water contain? I was thinking to let my waste water go into my duck pond?

Depends from area to area. If you used tapwater in the duck pond up to now, I do not see any reason why RO waste water would not be OK.

Do you use the borehole water as is as a replacement for RO water or do you process it through your RO unit?

The wast water of R.O should still be Cleaner than the tap water ( Unless you are testing while back washing )
