Hi Dane, Welcome to MASA

How long have your system been running?

Do share some pics ?

Is this a fish-only system or do you keep some corals as well?

This is a fish only system so far... until i get my water right:) Im also scared that my butterfly fish will eat any coral i put in:(

My system has been running for about 2 months or more:)
I will post pics soon:thumbup:

The fish are really small at 40mm maximum. They all seem really happy together

They will eventually outgrow your system, so be prepared to let them go soon, or start planning your upgrade :)

Dane, how long was that urchin alive for in your system?

You might want to wait a bit longer until your tank has got some more algae growth before you try one again.

That is one beautiful trigger...

Welcome to masa @Dane fisher! Lol, im also a fisher/visser...(the afrikaans version)
Those are some nice fish you got there...
Are they wild caught?
Urchins arent a very safe option for fish food bud. You can rather try small pieces of chopped up shrimp/fresh fish...

All of my fish are caught locally, I must say that I've made some bad decisions regarding my saltwater tank :( For example putting copper in the tank to treat white spot.... But later wanting to put coral in my thank..... Which makes it impossible !

Welcome to club.

Word on urchins. I had really nice speciman but had to eventually get rid of as he munched continuosly on any new coral growth. also very good at moving rocks etc around!!
