Hi Guys and Girls.

Quick back round before the pics start coming.

I have been on MASA for around 4 years now ever since moving to JHB from KZN.

My family had always kept fish tanks for ad long as I can recall.
And I have been the first to take the brave decision to get into marine aquariums after stumbling on this forum.

I had a 60cm cube that I had for around a year which I sold In December and regretted it ever since,

With that said, I'm am now in the process of setting up the tank I always wanted, A 1.2m X 60cm X 60cm.

Hammer rite should do it , don't you think

@mandrin hammer rite would do perfectly. The problem is that it will still pick up rust but only after longer time than what a normal paint job would. The most effective is to galvanise but that also eventually succumbs to salt water.

The stand was primered and painted when I bought it. It just had a bit of rust at the bottom that I painted with normal aerosol black from Game. I tried to get hammer rite but no luck.

with.

Cycle is about establishing a bacteria colony. With a place they can "host" on, like inside your live rock and your substrate.
