Last season was a good one in my area around the southern tip of Africa.
nice warm water, high numbers of fish, some surprises.
Any predictions for the upcoming season from all the guys collecting south of transkei?

Water didn't get particularly cold this winter and it's already warming up a bit, so I'm hopeful. Will have a look in about a month or so...sometimes get the odd early fish.

As a matter of interest where do they come from i.e. migrate from or to?

They are the juveniles that are washed down by the Moz current after their parents spawn closer to the tropics. They travel in circles, caught in the south western Indian ocean gyre where they develop and are washed ashore during on-shore winds. 99,99% of them die in the open ocean/antarctic imo.

It is still too early to tell, it depends on the winds...

The rivers in the TKei are looking good with the floods a few months back.
