hi & welcome

Most ppl are still sleeping as our time difference is about 7 hours
you posted at 3:00 our time

Post specs of your tank & photos of the tank & snail if possible?

Local names can be very confusing. As the same name can be used in different parts of the world for completely different fish or in this case snails.

Anyway, from your other thread it seems to be part of the whelk family. Not predators but real scavengers. Although some can be predators, but then you are more likely to be in the cone / conus family.

But, a picture does say a thousand words.

welcome... as ststed a picture is worth a thousand words.. looking forward to assisting you :)

:welcometomasa2:to MASA...:1:..great to have another girl join MASA...slowly but surely we are going to take over MASA...:005::005:

You probably have what is more commonly known as Zebra Nerite Snail....but yeah..sometimes called "Tiger Snail"..

I don't think you have a THE "Tiger Snail"...:p
Tiger Snail

http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-0G4WhU-g38c/TeESGekwBmI/AAAAAAAABF0/dg4HCztVWf4/s1600/Achatina.jpgThe Tiger Snail, also known as the African Giant Snail, is the largest land dwelling snail in the entire world. Some of the largest shells ever measured were a foot long!
Tiger Snails are illegal to own or import in the United States.

Nerite Snail....
The Nerite snails quickly became popular in the aquarium trade as both the saltwater and the freshwater species are very hardy and because of the fact that they are very good algae eaters. Most species eat only algae and to a lesser degree other vegetable matter.

Don't think the snail is "picking you'r fish off one by one..."..:tt2:

Zebra Nerita Snail....
Another plus for the Zebra Nerite Snail is its algae eating abilities.
