Glass thickness

Hey,

I saw a tank on zeovit.com, it was the second quarter DTOTM. I am saving to build the same size tank the dimensions is 1.5 X 800 X 550 Rimless with the water level at 500. I saw Ridwaan asked the reefer what the glass thickness is and its 12mm. what do you guys think about the thicknes is it to little or to much?

at .550mm with a water level of .500mm id say 12mm is ok, im personally trying to sorce some 15mm for a slightly higher build with the intention to go rimless..

I have a few 1.2m X 0.5 X 0.5 tanks in 10 mm glass. Seem very sturdy!

awsome to construct a tank in such stable glass..

i only build in 10mm no matter what the size if the tank..

here you go. the earlier ones were in 6mm but of you go through the thread you will see i progressed to 8mm then 10mm
