Hi guys.
Could you freeze cubes of RO and then dumb into your sump as you need, 1 to cool our tanks in summer but also act as a top up at the same time.
Even suspend the cube above the sump so it drips cooler water back into the tank.

yes you can, but a easier way of cooling is to use 100mm pc fan and blow it over you tank or sump surface, thus increasing evaporative cooling. this will increase RO usage, but can cool your tank tremendosly. also if dosing kalk via top up, you have the benefit of increased dosage.

Depending on the tank size. Rather freeze a 2L cold drink bottle water and then float the bottle until unfrozen. Although a lot of effort.

PC fans are easier. Especially if hooked up to a controller like a STC-1000

interesting tread this.... I am also struggling with heat at the moment...
I will give this a try during the week

My idea was to freeze popsicle shape sticks of RO and have it suspended over the the return chamber
As it melts it drips into the return chamber.
Slowly cooling the water and a very slow top up idea
