    Hi guys,

iv noticed recently that my tank water looks really dusty ( for a lack of a better word) and iv changed/added carbon and put some filter floss, but it doesnt seems to clear up the water....

is it possible that my sand may be causing this ? im using caribsea sugar fine aragonite.

how can i fix this, its driving me mad coz i cant take decent pics now

Hi Junz - no - I don't think that the sand would be causing this (unless you have added some sand to your in-tank sand-bed, or DSB?

More likely to do with hidden detritus within your sand-bed, or within your live rock (perhaps you have some detritus stuck around the base of your live rock - try using a turkey baster or power head to blow a stream of water around the live rock a bit).

Filter floss at your down-pipe/overflow SHOULD definitely work. BUT, it will take a few days - a week at max....
