i think so, im still new, but what I understand, its almost the sae thing... I have argonite as subtrate, and sand from the sea(behind the waves) for dsb, my water is perect

Yes, you can. I had this mix in all my DSBs. I think it's actually a good way to do things since it gives you more variety of substrate for benthic life... more micro-niches for them.

I have mixed, aragalive, crushed coral, regies play sand, miracle
mud & Fiji pink aragonite. Should be great.
