Get you self a very fine water filter and put that on the end of the over flow pipe. It will collect all sorts of Sht and all you do is clean it ones a day and put it back. Have been using it for a year and works GR8.

That is a nice idea, what if you have an overflow box, any ideas.

It is used in water filtration, look like a nylon bag with very fine holes. Will try get pic later.

Any ideas, how I could make something like this work, but keep in mind I have and overflow section, durso, feeding external skimmer, then DSB, purigen, carbon, chemipure comp. and lastly return.

If you go a pipe it works any were. I don't always use it on what pipe.

how many times a week do you do that?

Hi Mike - I do this mostly once a week.... Sometimes twice a week. I then use the extra food that's left in the container AFTER the sun-coral has eaten, and then "feed the whole tank". Then everything else (fish, other corals, hermit crabs, other filter feeders (ie clams, fanworms, etc), other worms, etc) gets to eat a nice meaty snack as well....

thought i'll use the fish net stockings,but the wife will think im getting kinky with my tank
speaking of stockings,my carbon was placed in a stocking and in my sump and the damn thing tore and now theres carbon all over my sump.must hook up my reactor again

If use this on the end of the sump inlet pipe, how often would you suggest changing it ?

Also would you be able to re-use the stocking or does it need to be replaced everytime ?
