Hey guys

Got my first inhabitants in my tank

4 x clowns (jungle aquatics buy 3 get 1 free)

These guys are only about 3 cm long each

So after "dripping" them for a few hours I put them in my 5 foot tank but they kinda struggling to swim against the current(wiggling there arses off but getting no where)

I have 2 sunsuns: 1 double barrel 12000 lph and 1 single 3000 lph and my 3600 lph return from my sump

So I put off my 12000 lph pump for the time been and they seem more "comfy" now

Is my original flow too much for these little guys??

they haven't quite found all the "caves " yet

How much flow can they take ? Can I put the big pump back on once they have explored the rest of the tank am just afraid I over exhaust them with the current flow

Any advice/ideas???

Its a 5 foot so 1,5 meter x 45 cm x 60 cm high

So you got roughly 18.000 litre flow for 360 litre tank volume. 50x more flow than tank volume.
Which isn't bad, but all depends what you are keeping.
I would say, lets first (without the 12.000l) see where the clowns are going to settle and than place the 12.000 litre sunsun.

thanks for the advice - only 2 have ventured out of the left corner so far - will give them a couple of days to figure out the caves etc before trying to turn on the big pump again

now just have to figure out how to make them see the food im dropping in lol
