This morning i noticed my Chromis eating Copepods/Amphipods off the glass.

Is this normal, its just my one doing this and he picked at the glass about 20 times easily and i could see them getting less...

My plan is to build up my Copepods/Amphipods population to introduce a Mandarin in a few months time but dont think the chromis will be able to deplete them as he only picks on the glass and not the rocks?

Yes all fish opportunistic feeders, so you can feed a little more

Chromis eat anything you throw at them, not fussy at all. They are great to get fussy eaters to feed as they cause a feeding frenzy in the water that stimulates other fish to eat, but, you need a large school for that to happen.
