Hi all

I have a couple of bangaii cardinals in my quarantine tank. Is there anything I can do to ensure that they are as healthy as possible? Any nutritional supplements I can add to their food or to the water?

I will do a small water change mid-week and a 20% water change every weekend.

thanks!

Hi B

I think more info is needed on your QT.
If the Banggais are WC then try and provide various live and meaty foods, apart from live foods such as small shrimp, pods and mysids (if you live near the coast) or possibly guppy and other larvae (if you don't as is your case) you could try frozen foods such as mysids, krill, fish eggs, lobster eggs, finely chopped fish and seafood, etc.
wild caught take a lot of effort to convert to flakes and pellets.

Oh wow 500 posts, do I have to dive naked to celebrate.

Thanks, Steve. Congrats on 500 posts :D

I have been feeding them frozen mysis and they are eating it. Don't know if they will eat brine shrimp though. Just happy to see them eating at this stage.

QT is very simple with an internal filter and a protein skimmer.
