The Nennie list, sweet and short

Here is my Nennie List, sweet and short quick reference to check on your Nennie's health.

Happy:
Stay put
De-flate and re-flate, but the ofteness of the cycle is debateable
Eat readily (krill, pieces of mussel, raw fish pieces)
Should be firm with a strong food holding
Tentacles should definitely be sticky
Mouth does not protrude outwards

Un-happy:
Wander around aquarium
"Mouths" looking as if they are 'inside out"
"Dying nemmies" just start to shrink
Close often or just stay close for days
White is never a good color for a nemmie indicating loss of Zoanthellae

Care:
Feed once or twice per week
Requires quite high lighting for a nemmie
Requires decent water flow (turbulent) - unless the nemmie comes from a salt-marsh
The smaller the chunks of food the better it's digested
