Tank is full and most of the equipment connected and running, I just need to fill and move the kalkstirrer into place and start filling the NP reactor.

I'm going to start out with 200ml pellets, give it some time and then slowly add to about 400ml which should hopefully be sufficient for the tank. Nominal water volume is just over 500l.

Another picture of sump set-up.

NP reactor now filled and running, fed by the chiller feed pump. Chiller is Hailea HC 300A.

The light unit is fitted, very bright! It's the Oddesea metal halide and T5 combo unit, 4 x 39w T5's and 2 x 150w MH. T5's are 2x Actinic and 2x Giessemann Aqua Blue+, I really like this combination. The MH's are 14000k.

just a question, is your skimmer efficient enough to handle NP pellets?

Hi, skimmer is rated for 1500l so I'm confident it can handle 300/400ml pellets.

Thanks. All fish from my previous setup namely Fox Face, Niger Trigger, Tomato clown, unidentified type of burrowing Goby which is about 18cm long, Mandarin and a smallish Lion which will probably going to a new home soon.

Once the Lion is out I would like a medium sized fish to add, something colourful but peacefull and reef safe, any suggestions from anyone?

So the livestock move yesterday was a success, moved the rest of the house today. All fish seems fine, dosed the tank with Special blend a couple of days ago and now following a course of Stability dosing, so far so good, will keep on monitoring.

BUT had my first mini disaster tonight, went out for 45minutes earlier this evening only to come back to find the lounge flooded! Siphon break didn't work as I planned! About 7 full boxes of our stuff very wet as they were still on the floor being unpacked. Luckily no damage or losses in the tank, just a very very upset wife!

A big thank you to Rhyn for bringing me some salt water during the emergency.

Lesson learnt, siphon break modified and tested, now working as it should.

Here is a pic of the full setup with sump enclosed and LED light on, you can still see some of the wiring on the left but will hopefully have time in the new week to setup the small cabint next to the tank that will house all of the wiring, timers, ballasts and ups.

In a previous post I mentioned some of my fish, one of them was an un-identified Goby.
I bought this fish as a Goby about a year ago but the LFS was also not sure what type of Goby it was at the time. When I bought it he was about 8cm long and solid black and he has lived in the substrate digging holes under the liverock since the day I got him.

He has now grown to about 18cm to 20cm if I had to guess, and really is a stunner although very shy. He now has a black body but with white vertical stripes from head to tail, please see picture.

Can anyone identify him?
