The sun is doing really, it is a bit of work but I think its worth. I have been feeding it daily cause it looked a bit sad when I got it, now it opens up fully. I feed it brightwells zooplanktos-m everyday brine shrimp or mysis every other day and twice a week cyclopeze and reef snow. One of the most stunning corals I will try take a pic when its open. I also have a small frag of chilli coral.

hey mc, tank is looking great. I havent been in your thread for a while and I see a number of new mentions, especially on the fish side. the corals look great but id just like to causion you against getting too stocked in a relativley small tank. the mandarin, hawk and coral beauty will be competing hard for any live food with the mandarin loosing the battle, so try get the fella eating frozen food as soon as you can.
that sun coal looks beautiful, but again watch your bioload in the tank as with all the feedinga sun coral requires your bioload is getting high. just a heads up __________________ my second tank thread....http://www.marineaquariumsa.com/showthread.php?t=13692

Thanks crispin I realise that, I have been doing 15% water changes weekly to try keep the nitrates down. Everything is really healthy and I have finally got the mandarin eating frozen brine and im going to try get him interested in mysis now. I know I have been feeding a bit much I will try cut that down to ever second day soon its just the sun was looking a bit under fed, I always wonder how the LFS feed them if they only open at night and the staff are at home by that time. It is really looking so much better after the two weeks it been in my tank. I will post a pic tonight.

that does look alot like a gbta. similar to the one I had in my tank. It grew from the same size as yours to huge(20cm accross) in 2 months. Hectic how they grow and they have got a potent sting to them.so just be careful of corals close to the gbta. your tank is looking great __________________ Charls led powered Boyu Tl550 --->

Thanks Charl I will keep an eye on it, everthing around it is moveable.
When I got it it was the size of a R5 coin and the tentacles were very thin. |

Wow, great looking tank, nice to see a sun coral doing so well.
What specie is the anemone? I also got one (chocolate brown), bought it as a purple MiniMax, now more than 10cm across and growing. The other two stayed minis. How would you get these of a rock if you want to remove it? |

![]() Moving them would be a problem I once tried to pull the pink one off the rock and couldn't budge it, but I guess with persistance anything is possible. I have heard a good way is to point a power head directly at its foot for a while.Thanks.

Ah, now see the bta. Does the two sting each other or is it just the depth on the photo that makes them look close to each other?
