Eish Steve! This is REALLY REALLY worrying news. I cannot access the Facebook page where I am now.

I really hope that these efforts helps in any way to help the survival of the aquarium!

Hi, thanks for the thoughts, hopefully the more that join the better, the more showing support and asking like minded friends to join the better, it already has about 1416 members and when I joined last Sunday it was about 270.

Hi, it has about 4156 members now, several volunteer working group weekends were organised with the Help Save Bayworld group, cleaning up the car park, around the animal enclosures, in the museum and scraping walls for painting. The Boardwalk and Edge Finance Group organised and paid towards improvements to several holding enclosures used to isolate seals and penguins for medical or quarantine purposes that are still ongoing. Negotiations are taking place between the Provincial government and the Metro to iron out the possibility of the local Metro taking over the running of the live animal section of Bayworld. We are still open, but if new funding and finalising of the Metro negotiations do not happen soon then the future does not look too rosy.
