Hi Guys

Just thought I would say hello to everybody on the board.

I inherited a 150l tank about 18 months back. Its setup for freshwater.

Just been reading and reading and deciding if I have the means to get into marine....

I am based in Botswana out of interest.

Hi Mickey, welcome to MASA.

Marines can be a bit hard on the money but if you take your time and keep an eye on second hand kit you should save plenty.

Welcome

Not too sure yet to be honest... just going to read and read and read to make more of an informed decision, and then take it from there nice and slow!

Welcome to MASA Mickey, hope you enjoy it here with us. You'll find a lot of info about starting a marine tank in my signature - please go through it and ask if you don't understand anything :)
Good luck with your project :wave2:

Welcome Mickey

Welcome to MASA!!

The question you should actually be asking yourself is should I still be keeping freshwater??

A VERY WARM WELCOME to MASA, Mickey! Great to have you on-board! Yes - please read as much as you can, and also ask as many pictures ask you can.
Also, have a look through our "New Members" and "Members tanks and setups" forums. Please identify a tank and goal that you would like to achieve - then let us assist you in achieving this goal.

Well sorry its taken so long but this is my tank and the stand.....

Want to get the stand sprayed black, and going to have to 'polish' out the scratches on the tank. dimensions are 900x450x450.

Wouldnt mind some advice on the cabinet space and the lighting area as to what my options are with regards to converting to a marine tank. Dont think I can remove the piece which splits my storage space in to 2 parts? Only got about 15cm from glass to the top of the hood, but I can remove the sliding glass pannels. Any input on that?
