Hey Guys
Just twat id say hi
I currently have a tank at the monent and its running through the long and irratating cycle cant wait for it to end
My tank is 900 by 500 by 500, sump is 900 by 500 by 300 (lxbxh)
Water volume is about 300odd litres with a TS1 skimmer, dsb of about 15cm and about 10kg's of bio rock with some small LR gonna be getting more LR once the wallet starts talking hahahaha:wave2:

Welcome Prodigy. It looks like you have been doing your homework. Try and add all the liverock at once or when you add new live rock, make sure that it has cured

welcome to masa its great to hera that you are cycling already :)

i find the cycle time and process is a great time, always something new popping out the LR, getting the system tuned and running smoothly, getting in all the new odds and ends to make the tank that much better, and reading reading reading as there is so much to learn.

You def want to try get some more LR, but good to know you have some atleast:)

what sort of tank do you aim at keeping, any ideas yet?

Can you please post some pictures for us to ogle at?

In the meanwhile - while you waiting - please read as MUCH as you can, on MASA, of keeping marines! Also - have a look through the "Members Tanks and Setups" - and try and identify a goal of what you want to achieve!

Please ask as MANY QUESTIONS as possible!

Welcome Prodigy. As jacques said have a look at the other members threads. There are a few threads which have the same size tank as yours. In no particular order have a look at Furbz 250l, Kunhardts Tank, Lowflyers tank, Fishy steves tank and mine:) Its basically the same size and you will have an idea where you could go with your tank. Just remember to be patient during the cycle and do not stock to quickly. As for liverock, try and get all asap. Good Luck
 
Ok tanx guys. I do understand that i need more LR and i wanna be greating LR as soon as the local shops get in hey which im hoping is this week!!!!!!
 
yeah i hear EL isnt the easiest place to get marine stuff. But you have a number of reefers near you too, so look out for where people are from on the forum and perhaps you can have a look at some of their systems too:)

Funny enough, these two tanks are in the same town as you bucks, you know you're always welcome.

And Crispin, marine stuff isn't the big problem here, it's just that LR is a huge problem as we hardly ever get any, it sucks.
