Guess what this is?

Yeah for 100x you can only really do that through a microscope. My best lens can only do 5x life size on my camera...

Don't know it but had a quick google and it looks awesome.

I got the cheep mead which is about 5 or 6 years old now. Problem I have is the optic camera only runs on XT. No drivers for vista or 7.

I have a Canon 600D hooked up to it... And tethered via USB. Works well. Way cheaper than those dedicated CCDs.

A very quick cellphone snapshot of a very untidy work area.

FMG. Looks like ET landed without the horse.

I see the camera has its own direct set of optics if one can call it that, for the camera. So you can view the slide and take pic's at the same time. Do video? What lenses can you use.

Start typing bud and tell us just what this baby can do.

No my camera is direct projection. No glass.

I cannot view and take pictures at the same time, the trinocular head is a 100 - 0 design. I can do video yes. I cannot use any lenses except for my 4 objectives, 10x, 20x, 40x and 100x.

Sorry Waldo I am a "newbie" in the photography department. I don't understand what you say.

What I am angling at is. The white thing that your camera is attached to, or, resting on. Does it connect to the camera like one would fit a lense?

How do you/ what settings have to be done to the camera to allow for a pic to be taken.

Sorry for all the Q's but this is very interesting.

The white thing is a TV tube. It connects to a PVC pipe that fits inside a C-Mount adapter which connects to the lens socket on the camera. The camera takes pictures as normal - it does not need a lens to release the shutter. I use a program called DSLR Pro to remotely capture the images.
