Ill say publish the most voted for. We need nice pics for our calendar.

To be contrary, I would vote that we stay with the original 1 photo per photographer. any of the photos in the semi-finals are good enough, IMHO, and it would be better to have more photographers "exposed" - it was also the original deal...

would that be over exposed or underexposed? ;)

i agree with hennie, i think one pic per photographer is a good idea

Yes i am very Miff....:(

I was under the impression that each member could only submit one entry else we would have a calendar from the same pic guru etc etc.

Did i misunderstand???

I'm afraid you did misunderstand. Read the first post in this thread.:)

Dam. well maybe next year for me then.

So at what stage exactly  did a individual get his pics reduced to his one allocated/electable one?

OK for next year consider a vote for the best pic from each submitter and then put those forward for the calendar. IMO

BTW some awesome pic's guys. going to be a reefers collectors item.

Yip, we'll put this one down to a big learning curve and learn from our mistakes. My brain was getting fizzled setting up so many polls and sifting through about 200 pics.

That would be the final stage, which I realise now was the wrong way to go about it, but that's how we learn. ;)

even if it confused a few people in its format i think the comp was a great idea and well run, so thanks viper once again for the massive effort you put into this place

Guys, I have just spoken to Nemo's Janitor and he has a Great Idea, well i think it is great anyway !

Why not offer a banner type slot for advertizing on each months page .... this would serve 3 purposes...
1. it would reduce the costs for the average Joe MASA member
2. the sponsors get more exposure
3. it would encourage more sponsors to buy the calenders to hand out to their customers, thereby exposing MASA to more people and more members

It is a good idea and we have thought of it, the problem at the moment is that our first quote for 120 calendars has come in at just under R12 000, that was quite a shock, either we try to find a much cheaper alternative or we reduce the amount of calendars to be printed to about 50 or so. If anybody can help to get these calendars designed and printed then please let me know.

In the meantime I am having some small flip type desktop calendars and some A4 flip type wall calendars done, these are much cheaper but obviously smaller, I should have samples done by then end of next week hopefully.

Right fellow sponsors lets give this project a shot in the arm. We need to come up with the dosh so i am challenging all other sponsors to equal or better a R1000.00 donation towards the project.

Lets see this thread go into overdrive tonight.:1::1::slayer:

Viper PM me the sizes and specs of the printing required and I will ask my wife to get us a quote from her printers. Why don't you do a pre-order form to establish the demand?

Thanks, I will contact you now.

We did do a poll and the numbers were about 50 or so I think, but I want to try and get a few extra done so that we can sell a few in shops etc.

3 for me. Please. R100 per quality calendar is not expensive.
I wouldn't pay R100 for a calendar, even if it had scantily clad ladies draped all over it and came with a free 6 pack of beers :D

Does anybody know the member called Pads ? I need to get a photo from him but he hasn't been online for over a week.

thats because youve saved enough web addresses not to have to worry about spending the dosh! :)

and laughingly, R100 for a six pack of ales is cheap compared to this place! :)
