Thinking about getting a tripod for my 350. What should i look out for and what to avoid. Can i also use the same tripod for my video camera?

every single one you look at, insist on opening the tripod to see how sturdy it is. that the main thing. second, how freely and easily does everything work and move. thirdy, mobility, light weight etc. a built in spirit level is also good to have:)

im sure a video camera tripod is the same.. not sure though. dont own one.

I think the most important thing is Can the tripod handle the weight of your camera with its longest/heaviest lens. will it be sturdy enough to keep the camera still. see what the tripod offers and weigh your options - also look at your pocket - dont forget to look to the future as well as not to buy in duplicate.:slayer:

Manfrotto, manfrotto and manfrotto. They're not cheap but will last forever

I received an 'Armsun' tripod as a gift - this tripod is quite a few years old but was still in the box - never been used. Sturdy and I can add my camera with any lens at different heights.

I do not know pricing but MAnfrotto was a bit pricey for my pocket at the moment

Nice selection NJ. Now we need some pics
