    Hi Fred, I have purchased a garlic supplement for exactly that reason - but as you say it has preventative rather than curative properties. Thankfully it does seem like things have settled down in my tank now. the three surviving fish seem to be okay.

    Hi Yuri, I am busy clearing out the copper before i start the myxazin. Do I drop the temp from the29 C back to 25? The remaining fish are still eating (striated tang, box and pygmy angel ) with angel being the only one still showing discoloration

    Thanks for the advice. I did try fresh garlic and mixed it with brine shrimp but they tasted it and spat it out. I even tried putting it in the seagreens and they just stayed away from it. I don't know, maybe I put too much - one clove per two blocks of artemia

    Yes i have a copper test kit. I bought 3 new fish from the same LPS. The two fish i had deposited had ICH and were being treated for it, so i bought these 3 instead. Thanks for the advice. I just hope i don't lose anymore

    When u say stop Cupramine you probably saying use carbon to remove? I started the copper treatment by 20.ml the first day and another 20.ml after 48 hours as per instructions on the bottle to a 820l tank. It's been at the0.5 ppm for the last 2 weeks.

    That's what i got reading up on brooklynella, but you obviously have practical experience, so will get the medication. Any suggestions of a LPS that stocks myxazin? I stay in Florida.

    hyposalinity treatment for bacterial diseases Thanks for the advice. Have done some research and it looks like a hyposalinity QT is the quick answer. Will also try myxazin.
