    New Tank

It hasn't been built yet, so I am going to ask that they do it with at least 12mm glass. I want the tank to be as safe as possible, not really a fan of mopping water out of my house :P

    New Tank

Just saw something very worrying on this quote, glass thickness has only been set at 10mm. Dimensions of the tank are 1500x500x650, about 480L (Yes, my original post was incorrect). Surely the glass thickness should be about 14-15mm??

    New Tank

It's going to be a dark wood to match the rest of my place. I'm quite happy with the price when comparing it to quotes some of my friends have received.

    New Tank

On a completely different note, there used to be a link to a fresh water aquarium site on here, but I can't seem to find it?? I have a 300L that I want to make fresh water, but need lotsa info first.

    New Tank

From the previous tanks I have seen from the same place, it will look great. Ok, bugger it. Jumping in and going to get it. Delivery in roughly 2 weeks, will post some pictures.

Was that with a cabinet? Or just for the tank and sump. Posted via Mobile Device

    New Tank

Hi Guys Wasn't quite sure where to post this Been a while since I've had marine fish, but I've decided to get back into it. I have received a quote for a new tank, glass dimensions 1500*500*650 holding 600L, and a 120L sump. Including the stand and wood finish I want, the cost came in at...

    Aggressive

Just out of interest, how long between adding each one to the tank? I think if you added the Tomato first and then a couple weeks later anything else, you will probably always have issues.

    Aggressive

I had the exact same group of fish and the Tomato was always chasing the other two. I put in a few small pieces of rock to create a few extra hiding places and they all calmed down a bit. Posted via Mobile Device Just to add, I put a Blue Devil in a while after, and that is one fiesty little...

    Returning after a couple months

I do seem to remember a whole debate around aragonite and whether it really is worth it considering the cost... So you guys are saying bubble algae is not that bad and can be controlled? I'd hate to rush into anything here, probably the worst thing you can do with marines... Posted via Mobile...

    Returning after a couple months

    Returning after a couple months

Hi Guys So I used to be active on the forum, unfortunately work became very hectic and I had to give the hobby up for a while. However I have just filled my tank again and obviously will be waiting for it to mature. 1500cm x 450cm x 450cm I'm putting a DSB in tank. I went to look for...

    Nano Lighting Question

Its the Jebo Curved Glass one. I don't mind changing the ballast if it will fit in the hood. Found a nice corner to stick the tank so want to run it again.

    Nano Lighting Question

Hey guys I know this is a daft question, but what I know about lighting is dangerous. I pulled out my nano over the weekend, the only markings on the tube say T58W. Now I know the T5 part is the size/type of tube, but does the 8W mean its only 8 watts? If so, can I change them without...

    Skimmer or no skimmer

I know everyone here is saying a skimmer is a have to have, but I must disagree. I think it comes down to how stocked you're planning to have your tank. I have 3 fish, a hermit and a shrimp in a 100L tank, alone with a few snails and corals. I will admit that you need to be strict about your...

    Fish Question

I was asking because I am terrible at remembering to feed on time, so normally it gets done at some point between 18:00 and 00:00 at night. I don't have any special lights on the nano, just "lights on lights off" story, but I will definitely look into that for the new tank. Unfortunately the...
