Definitely dont raise your parameters quickly. You dont want another swing adding more stress to your livestock. Do a daily water change, ot huge and you can also top up with salt water instread of ro. Just let your tank run. But dont do sudden changes.

Depends why you want to clean it. If you syphon you might suck up bristle worms or pods etc. good stuff. Sometimes just a quick scrape to get the detritus airborne and then letting it go into the overflow is good enough. Take a very small powerhead and blow over your substate and rocks also work...

Im 99% sure that its a .05ml scoop - You should contact the lfs to replace the scoop for you. Its pretty hard to measure .05ml unless you have a scoop and a tiny bit - few grains, can give you inaccurate readings.

This might sound silly as I haven’t tried it. But won’t a float switch work by reversing it. So in other words,it shuts down your return pump if the water level rises in your tank Instead of the switch turning on your pump. It should be simple,depending on the switch you use.
