Geez, i have never hear of something like this.
Reefers that have Tunze are probably to scared to complain on forums cos they paid sooo much $$$ for it!
Cos, that will just be embarresing!:)
Tank: 1200mmx450x450mm or 1.200mmx600mmx600mm will be cool.
Sump ofcourse. 1000mmx400mmx400mm will be suffice.
Live Rock:20Kilos will be cool. Nice open structure.
Substrate.
Salt.
Get RO water.
Two powerheads.
Skimmer: Get one thats slightly more rated for you tank, eg 400L tank then...
Wow, very nice looking tank.
Tell me, do you have some lagae problems?
Looks like it on pic # 6!
One helluva fish collection you got going also hey!!
But some seriously nice looking tank!
Shane, find the source first.
Phosphate will show zero on the test kits.(Being used up before you can test for it.)
There is only one factor that brings algae(And yes the only one): Excess nutrients.
Forget about raising magnesium.Keep removing the algae manually and keep dosing phosphate remover.
Cool, i see what you getting at. But every tank will be different.
Alot depends on the density of the zooxanthallae.
Say you looking at 3-5 months, could even be a year!!:)
All depends your husbandry skills and ofcourse luck!:)
It needs more than just taking it out of nitrate rich water.
Strong Flow(Alternating preferably)
Intense Lighting.
Constant food supply.
Constant alk and cal supply.
Not that simple!:)
Thanks.
Hey been throught that long process already!!
2 months for me also!
Its damn tiring, trust me!! But well worth it at the end!
Now i dont have a single strand of algae. In fact i wish some wolud grow for some food for my tang!!ha ha!!!
Naah, just happy they all gone!
You will get there viper...
