even if it kills your algae , if you don't fix the cause , they will come back and it could be worst , the algae nice or not eats pollutions and will release what's they been eating and on top of it you'll have to deal with what's they don't eat any more . you're better of putting a few more...

i prefer to use boiling water , in a syringe with a needle , i inject the boiling water inside the aptaisia or in is hole . i use a big syringe and go fast for the water to stay very very hot , for me it works , sometimes i've got to do it 2/3 times if the little bugger is strong . but it works !!

i don't know anything about rotifer but instead of using bleach why not just boiling or micro waving the sea water ??? i'd prefer it than bleach and unbleaching stuff .
