Exactly yeah with efficacy decreasing nominally each year. I need to send them the serial numbers off the units to see if they were included in the batch that had to be serviced under warranty.

I've been told the pads need replacing just like you would T5's or MH bulbs. Strange considering its such a universal problem and LED 's have an average lifespan of like 60000 hours no? Yes spares would help tremendously...

So on Friday my second unit did the same thing. Blue channel failed...I'm seriously considering going back to MH.

I have a branch in PE but I have a electronics guy here in my CPT office that I can ask to have a look at. It does indeed have a timer built into the unit as part of the sunrise/sunset feature. If I get stuck any more I will be in touch again. Sending this up to you would be no sweat.

So I didnt bother fiddling with the white balance on my phone cam but that channel has 2 x cw, 2 x ww leds and 2 x blue. the blue led's are the ones at 9 o clock and 3 o clock in each cluster if you gte my meaning.

I'll do so tonight when I'm home. Thanks Royden but what I know about electronics is dangerous. I'd rather not bypass the blue as I can already see a change in the corals below this particular unit. Let me know if you could repair :-)

I have two 160W R42Or's and as can be seen from online complaints the blue channel fails after about 2 years. That's where I am right now. Super frustrating I'm hope Jungle Aquatic's has a solution for me. I'm also considering moving back to MH but the cost of electricity over a 6ft tank is what...
