Just want to know which would be best to use in a 1200mm x 600mm x 600mm reef aquarium with seafloor special grade aragonite. The rw8 or rw15 and how many of each. Thanks

2xrw8 would work great
I would go for 2 of the rw8....they are super powerfull....rw15 will be overkill in my opinion...

Tyson I have 2 x RW 20's which I bought on there reputation... This was a Hugh waste of money! If you can afford better quality your better off these are s.$#t quality and I'll now be replacing them with vortech of tunze after about 2 months ,
well since the rw 20 only arrive in sa in the next few days
i assume you bought the grey stock floating around and received no back up service
so maybe take the angre out on yourself rather than a brand that is doing very very well

agree....if its was rw 20 they were grey....but now you say rw-15....
well we sell em like sweets.....no hassels
and if you get sales banter....id look at another supplier
those pumps are awesome....chances are you have landed up with a faulty unit.....

if its proper stock, the importers back up service rocks so you should not have issues
if its grey stock....well...sorry for you then

This thread asked for help on deciding which pump to get for his tank. I dont think he (or most of us) really care about grey area import rumours.
Seeing as you stock the pumps, one would think you could offer some advice instead of derailing the thread with such childish comments.
Personally I'm just giving my experience here of 2 "locally bought units" if that makes some people feel better? I have no vested interest here other than trying to save someone else cash... i have spent a lot of money on equipment... over 120k on gear alone (most of it quality) and regret now not doing the same in this instance... thats all. Smart comments unfounded and unnecessary. just because you sell them like sweets doesn't mean they should be bought after all if you with tim nokes we know sugar really is the devil.
Had tunzes in my previous tank...decided to give the rw8s a go in my new system....and i cant he more happier...awesome wide flow and they are super powerfull. Great pumps for the price.

i was trying to give you advise on trying to get the pump sorted....
and needed to first see if it was grey stock or not.....
as you did first mention it was a RW20....and these are still on the water.
i can see at post #6 it may have been taken in the wrong light....but thats was not the intention...so apologies it it was taken the wrong way
but on this forum...if you a sponser and you give advise on a product you sell....certain moderators take it like you desperate for a sale......so apologies for that too

both the above brands are great too......but..... have had issues 2.
so i was basically saying to swimfree that maybe he must get hold
of a supplier willing to speak to importer to correct the issue
as the jebao pumps....value for money, bang for buck.....are well worth it
it doesnt mean you pay more for vortech or tunze that you wont have issues.
i have photographic proof of both with major fails.......all were repaired and are fine now......as 2 can the jebao pump be repaired/ replaced to keep the client happy.
@Swimfree....email me on info@thewaterboy.co.za and ill take it upon myself to liase with the importer for you and see if they will be able to put a smile back on your face.

Not sure what went on here , but the Pumps are awesome - i didn't understand the " sales Banter " not sure if its aimed at me ?
I get from the same supplier as Marco , so no grey imports , rather a cleared up error in size from @Swimfree.
We took out a Voyger 12000 and tested the WS 8 and love it but... was too weak for what we needed , so now its in a fresh water tank , ill put in the ws 20 as soon as i can get new stock- the fact that they can be throttled down is great and even if they seem too strong out of all the settings and strengths and rotation angles - im sure you will have no issues with flow .
We use 4 of 10 - 12000lph pumps in a 3 m x 600 x 450 , also sea floor special grade , and have no dead spots & great surface agitation. which is part of the success in us keeping such great Coral banks.
New stock of the smaller , and the 20's are probably a week away from been ready for retail.
Great pumps and the supplier has no problem with replacing Faulty parts of his entire range of products but i haven't had any issues with these pumps.
