One of the most talked about skimmers a couple of years ago, so please post pics and mods etc into this thread, there are still plenty out there.
 
Does anyone have a skimmer cup for a AM1000. Mine is cracked and leaking.
 
Sorry dude it was a gift and i am using it but how bad is the crack in the skimmer, my cup cracked and i just epoxied it.
Works like a charm.

this is my puppy alan will know how this skimmer works.. i havent modded it yet but intend to pump a little more air into it....

alternatively a TF5000 twin is on the cards....

Ok im in a DIY mood and having the advantage of a brother in law that works at Astore and a machine workshop at work (being in the engeneering field), i am going to attempt to add a second OR3500 pump to my AM TF5000 baby skimmer..my only problem is finding the curved mounting seal to do it as neatly and make it look as origional as possible.. i will never sell this skimmer in sight of getting a bigger tank so might as well play with it.. Hope to have the first AM TF5000 BABY TWIN :whistling:

I have an Aquamedic Turbofloter and works wonders. I want to know why people say that skimmer had its days. They do a great job skimming, and dont ned to be upgraded for any other make skimmer. People always blaming the skimmer, when things go wrong in there reef tank. Does anybody have Aquamedic skimmers hooked up on a heavy loaded tank, I want to see.
 
they definatley kick ass... my skimmer just hasnt run for a while due to plumbing issues and size.. im not a fan of the shorty though.. not sure why... however there are many cheaper skimmers equally suited to do the same or higher capacitys for a far better prices.. i think aquamedic's problem is the price not necessarily the effieciency...
 
Anyone know how to how to hook 2 pumps onto the Turbofloter.One going to be for airation and the other to pump water inside. The Aquamedic Multi Skimmer like that. Me got the pumps just dont know how to hook it up.
