Hello,
I have a pc UPS that I want to connect to my wavepump/return pump in case the power goes off and I am not home.
The UPS is 1000va and 600W with 2 12v 7.2ah batteries, connected in series.
The pump is only 20W.
I would've thought that this should be fine for about 2-4 hours of operation, given the small consumption of the pump.
As it is, I only get about 25 minutes on a fully charged, new UPS. I've heard of people getting about 4-6 hours on a similar consumption on a smaller UPS.
Anyone with ideas or experience in this regard that can assist please?
PS - I have a generator at home that I use when the power goes off when I am at home.
Want to use this as interim backup for when I am not at home.
Thanks!
