Does anyone know where I can get some amphipods, copepods, isopods, shrimp larvae, mini bristle starfish & bristle worms? In other words good hitchhikers.
I started a very "sterile" system recently & while I'm sure I have a few critters in my tank, I doubt I have all the above mentioned.
If anyone has a few they are willing to give or sell pls let me know...

Just a note, don't mean to get your hopes up. Living close to the ocean, guess I'm realy lucky that way. Get my pods, shrimp and even a hermit by accident. Water changes has its benefits!:p

those sort of critters will come in time...no need to "buy" them from fellow reefers. pods will grow in numbers...you more than likely have hundreds but just haven't seen them...as for bristle stars and worms...these you will always get along with pods in any piece of rock that you place in your tank...soon as you start adding corals that are attached to small pieces of liverock you will be adding life to your tank in this regard. :)

Exprience helps, I learn new stuff everyday here. Realy an awesome forum. Not my tread, but thanks for the info and proof that no question is too simple

Micro brittle stars ive got plenty, when i clean my filter socks out usually 15-20 go down the drain. So organise to get some before I next clean my filter socks

You can even go to a LFS and ask them if they want to sell the critters you mentioned above.

I was trying to feed my Mandarin once after he and my 6 Line devastated my Copepod population :( I went to my LFS and they checked a few rocks. Found one that was crawling with them. They simply shook it around inside a bag and Bobs your uncle. When I went to pay for the 10 - 20 Copepods, they said it was for free

I would love to give the LFS some advertising by mentioning their name but I'm afraid everyone who reads this will swamp their store for free critters :whistling:
