Taking that big leap 3000x700x750 =1500L

Tank size 3000L x 750H x 700W 12mm Glass
Sump size 2000L x 500H x 400W 10mm Glass
Sump will sit in the Garage directly beneath the Tank.

Tank will be viewed in the lounge on the first floor. The back will be against the wall with sides and front viewable.
Still deciding on having 3 pumps, 2 internal loops with Eheim compact 5000, the drains will sit in the middle of the back pane and the outlets on the back support brace.
For the sump 1 dc12000 or Waveline dc12000 there will be a head pressure of +- 4.5m that will reduce the flow somewhat. Drains will sit in a overflow boxes on each back corner with the returns on the front support brace.
or
1 80000L with control of regulating the flow to 4 different returns and regulating the L/H

Please give comments and suggestions.

Those DC pumps do not like back pressure. Their "feature" is to pump less at a lower wattage if the outlet is restricted. Not sure what are their maximum head, but I do think that at 4.5m you are close to a very slow turnover rate. The 12000 max head is 6m. But at 6m, you get basically no flow.

Interest sake, check out Reeflow pumps on Reeflo Snapper/Dart Super Gold Pump
See how much the flow rate drop nearing their maximum ratings. The Dart drops from 3573L/h to 473 on head height from 4.2 to 4.8. So that extra 600mm height, and you loose 86% flow.

Thanks Riaanp will take a look.

Nice size tank. Just one question why are you going 750h and 700w ? Why dont you go 750 wide and 700 high more space for scaping and slightly less glass needed slightly lighter on the pocket aswell ever so slightly.

Thanks Blue Reefer

The room does not allow me to go any wider than that, I know it's only 50mm. I would have gone 1m wide if I could. there are just so many possibilities.

Stand going to get galv.
