Hello to all.

Well worth it tho.

Hello and welcome jodyTL550

Hey Jodie

Welcome to MASA and I hope you have lots of fun with your tank. I'm fairly new to the game as well and have a 700litre tank running for about 6 months (it was 2 years old when I bought it).
I bought a second tank (TL550) and picked it up over the weekend.
Are you using the system as you got it? Have you made any changes?
;)

PS
I see you are in PE - maybe we can meet so we can learn from each other.

Im using all standard issue that came with the boyu tl550 im happy with the purchase i made since im starting a reef tank the skimmer does the job i wouldnt say its the best but it will do for now. My salinity is stable at 1.023 my water parameters are all in check. Temp is 26·c

Seachem stability was a good starter for my cycle now its just a case of biting my nails till my cycle period is over.

My tl 550 still work in progress pic very poor

Welcome looking good. I'm also new to this and I must say this site is amazing! All the people and all the help Is out of this world really.

@jodyTL550 if those pieces of LR was not fully cured and added today your cycle period will take a bit longer than the usual 6-8 weeks. always try add your LR all at once. never weeks apart.:). love the scaping btw looks really cool:thumbup:

Hey and welcome!!!!!!!! What rock is that closest to the front? Looks interesting.

Thank you for all your comments, my favourite haunt is ultimte aquatics in port elizabeth im like a kid in a candy store there haha thats where i got all this.

The 2 rocks at the back bottom are live rock which has been cycled by geoff from ultimate aquatics for me to help with the tanks prep.

I cudnt find live rock with the features i was looking for so i saw these artificial scapes on the shelf and suited what i wanted to do which was to create a natural look and feel for the fish and to also have good platforms for the corals.

I like the gaps in the Ai rock for the fish to hide if they want or to have privacy which will give hem a sense of security.
