not yet....i will get one. So i am guessing i should start afresh, in my opinion i think it will be better to get the thing running properly and then take it from there..building the tank the way it should be

i see, but one the waterflow looks like the flow on your pic, wouldnt it only be the top layer of water that will overflow into each compartment? How will the bacteria get to work?

so how will the water flow work,just over the top into each compartment?

when you say remove the media do i transfer any of it into the new sump,or do i basically run both until the new one settles and then remove the old one?

OKay so the DSB has a solid partition in the middle and the other 2 are overflows or what?

I dont have a test for phospates yet...but i am thinking that there is a bit , because of the algae...i have only had the tank for 2 weeks now...so i am taking any and all advise and i will use it

my nitrates are 0 nitrites 0 ammonia 0 salinitiy is 1.023 ph is 7.8 I top up with RO water that i got from exotic pets in boksburg. Should i go for a DSB with macro algae in the sump?

put as i said before..I got all of this for R3500. I want to change the sump into a DSB one with some chaeto algae or something...what do you suggest
