i see, but one the waterflow looks like the flow on your pic, wouldnt it only be the top layer of water that will overflow into each compartment? How will the bacteria get to work?
when you say remove the media do i transfer any of it into the new sump,or do i basically run both until the new one settles and then remove the old one?
I dont have a test for phospates yet...but i am thinking that there is a bit , because of the algae...i have only had the tank for 2 weeks now...so i am taking any and all advise and i will use it

Should i go for a DSB with macro algae in the sump?
