looks like a great start i cant wait too see pics, i do think the RW15 will be a bit powerful for thats size system though, rather look at 1 x RW8 or 2 smallper pumps (RW4 when they come into the country)

keep us updated

Very nice setup.similar size to my tank (1m x 600 x 600).Also have the zetlight zt6600.Money well spent you wont be sorry!! Keen to see the pics.

nice size system there..what are you planning to stock the tank with?

Gonna stock a few fish, a Dwarf angel(Coral Beauty) and some Blue chromis, Watchmen Goby and mix of CUC. It will be a predominantly a Sps tanks.

Ok, so today I have decided on the Overflow and here it is, I reckon aesthetically this will be the best for me

I also have decided on using LocLine for my return with a check valve to prevent back flow. This I have had to order from the states

This what it looks like

Those RW15's do pack a big punch. I have one in my 1.2m setup on the lowest setting and it still create massive flow. Awsome pump never the less.

return with a check valve to prevent back flow.

Check valves will fail at some point. If spring type, the spring will rust away. Else one small snail like animal at the wrong place and the valve will not close up. Make sure your return is as high as possible and that your sump can handle the extra water for when it does happen.

So this has been a long time coming but finally things are taking shape. I have made some chnages to as per recommendations of certain members. Here are the pics, enjoy.

The stand with cladding. Here I used Marine Ply which was sanded down and coated with a primer and then sanded again and then painted black and then wet sanded before the final coat of black paint.
