Hi There ppl

As most of you know i took down my 1000liter setup end of last month.
Had great fun with the tank and i was thinking of quitting the hobby and starting a new one.

The sale just started then i already made plans for the new one. hehe
I just cant keep my hands away from marines.

This would be my 3rd newly build marine setup and my 5th setup since i started marines.

So lets have a look at the size.

I always wanted a cube so now im starting one.

Display will be:
700mm x 700mm x 500mm
All 10mm bright polished tank and clear silicone.
Bottom braces and top braces.

The reason i went for braces at the top was just for water splashing while cleaning.
I had a rimless tank before and i just hate it when it spills over the sides.

Sump will be:
650mm x 630mm x 400mm
All 6mm glass and clear silicone

Stand:
25mm x 25mm square tubing
I used my fuge stand to build this one.
Did not see the need to get new material for this.

sounds great, look forward to the updates

so, do we say, Welcome back?
anyway, enjoy the setup. Post those pictures

So first i had to do some tiling where the big tank was standing.
Luckily i still have the same tiles.

stand

Im not powder coating this one.
Trying something else with this stand.

Ive use a good quality red oxide for the first 2 coats.
Then i used a water proofing paint for roofs.
It makes like a rubber coating over the metal.

I gave it loads of coats with the roof sealer.
Then i also coated it 3times with woodoc exterior varnish to place a final seal over all the paint.

Lets have a look

Sump design

My sump is 650mm x 630mm x 400mm high

The back chamber is my ATU chamber and also my water mixing chamber.
Total system volume is about 277liters.

So 54liters will be ok for water changes.

Then there's nothing fancy with the rest.
One chamber for skimmer, NP or orca cubes, one panel close to the return chamber to stop the bubbles from the overflow going to the top display. I can also put some filter wool between those to panels and that should polish the water nicely before it goes back to the display.

An then the return chamber.
Ive got a atman 2700L/H pump for the return but im getting a 3000L/H DC pump from a fellow reefer. Just have to fix the cable on it. Got it for free.

Thanx @Dylant

Also got a great skimmer for a steal from him.
Bubble magnus curve 5.
