okay so i kinda ditched my old idea for salt and sand so i went the this place in Maritzburg today and picked up red sea salt...not the coral pro cause i don't like the elevated Ca, Mg and alk. 20kgs of aragonite
and 2 kilos of live rock.
haven't filled the tank all the way cause im still waiting on the frikken RO water to be made

BTW who lives in the hilton/maritzburg area that has like a 100 liters of RO water lying around :p

thanks

tank is finally full and starting the cycle

still need to get 18 more kilos of liverock

will post pics

Leaving for joburg today but when I get back I need to show you guys this stuff

When I left the tank is was really clear and looked good.....found a little star playing around the vortech and a small crab on the rocks

If any of you guys have a steel framed tank stand and using would to cover it take the wood off and throw it away!

Go buy yourself Perspex and youll never go back to wood!!!!

Using it around this tank and stuck some magnets onto it and it looks amazing plus water can't get into it and the stuff is really durable.....must say its quite expensive though.... It was just under R1000 to cover this tank's stand but the look of it is unbeatable

Will post pics when Im home next week

Got some south seas base rock for @bryan and it looks great!!also got some vertex bio pellets and some stability to full of bacteria for the bio pellets and to get this tank full of fish ASAP...then gotta fish the stand covers and then the Perpex tank mount for the radion

Will post pics when I get back of the full aquascape etc.

where is the radion??? :tt2:

I'm have this acrylic tank mount built for the radion so I don't have to drill into the roof

It should be over the tank by this sunday
