high quality build

Dude you better give us more details or else Im gona snatch that tank up before you get back.:tt2:
Looking good, love the colour.

ok ok guys :tt2:

well lets start with the slim design overflow, its a simple but effective small box that will host mesh over exit points to prevent snails, crabs, fish etc from entering. also the return is plumbed in behind box to deflect the flow as to prevent stray flow.overflow is 20ml and return is 10-15ml on low powered pump

reason for small out and in is to enhance the turnover process running through sump area. skimming will be more efficient ,as will phos and carbon and hopefully neo zeo reactor and to combat the turnover from tank to sump, i will be running either 2 vortech mp10s or 1 vortech and one hidden pump

the sump will host a XP1000int reef oct bubble blaster skimmer, small carb/phos reactor and a neo zeo reactor. i will also incorporate a small fuge as it has proved to be effective in my previous system

so thats it for now guys.im out of ct at the moment so as soon as i return i will start her up, post more pics and give more details:thumbup:

or just ask what u need and i will gladly answer

just a small update

testing my light unit ie. odyssea quad t5

will startup with standard bulbs and as soon as coral are added ,i will swop to ATi bulbs

you know u are going to need more light for the sps right?
it would have been different if it was an ATI powermodule or Sunpower

im going to swop out bulbs to ati as soon as i start adding corals. A buddy of mine did that and got same par readings from odyssea unit with ati bulbs compared to an actual ati unit, only diference on ati unit is the cooling system that extends lifespan of bulbs, but with a mod or 2, i can cool up the odyssea aswell and voila, at a fraction of price of actual ati unit

but compared to odyssea standard bulbs, the ati bulbs in the odyssea unit is literally double brighter, as seen personally:yeahdude:

if need be ,i can always add another unit, i mean, in my 2m tank i grew sps successfully under t5 odyssea

hmmmm... I must get some ATI tubes for my unit then. Ive seen an odyssea unit with giesmann tubes and they didnt look good. In fact that guys diy unit seemed much brighter with the same tubes
