Hi guys,
I've started a new build & will be starting a new thread with details & pics soon. In the meantime, I've been doing a lot of research & I'm stuck on lighting.
My new cube is 650 x 650 x 500mm & I'm looking for an LED unit.
I've narrowed it down to the following 2 units:

IntelliSUN 90W

Pharos 90W

I've been through the forums & they both seem like winners. Has anyone had both or done a proper comparative review with PAR ratings?

I've also had a look at the AI Hydra twenty six & all I can say is wow , sexy & powerful, however I can't justify spending +R7K on it, likewise with the Radions.

I want a unit that's dimmable, programmable & capable of growing basic coral.
Both the IntelliSUN & Pharos come with the optional controllers. The Pharos controller is wireless & the IntelliSUN controller needs to be hard plugged in @ all times from my understanding.

Comments, suggestions & concerns will be highly appreciated.

@nemo_jhb I guess I'm the best to give some advice as I know the units best, for your size tanks I would go with the 90W Pharos using, the reason being, you will get a tank mount option, the spread is better on the Pharos.

The intelliSun has a very nice spectrum, 3 channel range, but you might battle to stretch it over 650mm cube, you also going to be forced to suspend it somehow.

The 5 color 90W UV 80deg lens unit would get my +1 for this tank.

I was looking at similar units and saw a lot of positives on the Razor units. Why did you exclude them?

I've had a look at the Razor Nano 60W & I doubt it'll be sufficient, the model up which is the Razor 120W would definitely do the job, but add in the controller & it's nearly the price of 2 Pharos or IntelliSUN.

Hi Andre, I had a look at your posts and was actually on ur website earlier.
I really like to look of the IntelliSUN unit, but I'll take ur advice on the Pharos.
How's the Pharos 130W version?
Also, I'm actually going to suspend the unit, I prefer the look.
Does the IntelliSUN come with a hanging kit?

The intellisun can only be hung so yes it does but like andre said the 65x65 is a bit of a reach thats why he suggested the pharos unit

Hi guys, I have read the two posts on led lighting with great interest. I am planning two builds over the next few months, the first a 600 cube, and the second a 1500x600x600. I would also like to go the led route, and I think the cube forum covered the lighting options well, but I would appreciate suggestions on the 1500 tank.
I would also like to know who supplies what and where I can see and buy the fittings. I appreciate that there may be new products on the market since this thread was started, so any info on that will also help.
I would like to aim for the best I can afford. Regards,

On the 1500 three radions will be fine, I run 2 on a 1200x1000x500

Next question which of our sponsors have them on the shelf so that I can see and compare.

Idol has radions on their show tank
