Hi

Starting my first ever Marine setup.
Will be a triangular tank Dim: 1050x1050x1500x900
off site sump Dim:1700x700
Reef Octopus 200-ext 800L Skimmer.
2x MP40
Radion Gen 2pro
Dry Aragonite Seaflour Special grade
and 60kg Kenya live rock.

Any input would be appreciated. If there is anyone that can help with a sketch up, would be great.

This is the open space where tank would be.

triangle angle may be too tight to get a glass scrubber in the corners.

Nice, I've only ever seen two tanks similar to this over the years.

Had a look a Flipper. Think it just might work.
Yes, I have a flipper, It will definitely work to get into the tight corners.

Will the 900 be from the table height? I have a corner unit similar but with the long flat facing the front. My issues with the tank are trying to work inside. Also you will battle to feed the fish leaning over the desks the whole time.

Welcome to MASA though.

Very interesting. First time ive seen a triangular tank with the point facing out.
That shapes going to give you some really interesting options for scaping.

What livestock are you putting planning?

Yes the 900 is from the top of the desk or rather from just below the desk. Only the tank will be visible.

Lucky for me the desk are pretty sturdy.
;)

I do see a couple of problems with this setup. Good planning and it can be avoided.

Where will the sump be? How will you access the sump area?

Tank maintenance, scraping glass clean with magnet will be a bit of a hassle. More of an issue is getting into the tank later on. OK once established you should not stick your hands into the tank that often (yeah sure... as if I follow that rule... )

That looks like two workstations. Basically you going to look up into a Radion unit all day long. Unless you got a good canopy. Take into account that any LED unit needs good ventilation, and a Radion should be between 22 and 27 cm above the water. You will have this bright shining star above your PC all day long. Canopy that comes down the side of the tank to about 1cm below the water line would help a lot. But then you need a small door or flap so you can feed the fish. Or nice gas shocks to lift the canopy door.

Not sure if working on a laptop with brightly lit aquarium behind the screen will work out, especially the guy on the right.

Good point.
Though i think with the height of the tank we should be ok as you can see in the pic.
