Who is the predator in my non-predator tank?
Victims: 2* Peppermint Shrimp
2* Smallish Bengali babies! about the size of a 20c

I would like to set some of my babies free in the tank,
and buy extra fish but something is hungry in my tank.

Any Ideas?

suspects: Cleaner shrimp; Bengali mom and dad; Citrion goby; various Coral.

What is that gorgeous bright yellow/green coral behind the green plating monti on the bottom left?

Green colour form of Sinularia dura (cabbage coral). Usually plenty imported with Vietnam shipments and they're not too pricy.

I go check out corals at the LFS very often but never see this colour leather, maybe they send them all to Durban. I got the parent of this one from a tank I bought from a member a while back.

Thanks Jimi
and thanks for the frags!
Personally I think that the Cleaner Shrimp thinks he is quite the Alfa Dude.
I've seen him attacking snails quite successfully.
But I think I'll try find a small file fish to sort out the aiptasia,
instead of feeding more and more peppermint shrimp to someone.
